This is a guest blog by CSAIL Visiting Scientist and MIT Master Trainer David TsengOn June 14 and 15, 2018, educators from all over the world came to the Education University of Hong Kong for the CTE conference 2018 and shared their wonderful experiences of computational thinking. There was also an App Inventor IoT workshop focusing on how to communicate with small IoT boards with your smart phone. David Tseng, one of the Visiting Scientists of MIT CSAIL and one of the MIT Master Trainers, was there to conduct the workshop. During the interesting two hours, participants learned the basics of Bluetooth Low Energy communication and how to interact with the LinkIt 7697 board with their smart phone. David also hosted two App Inventor workshops later at the Hong Kong Maker Faire and Singapore Maker Faire.
